Annisquam Arts begins the summer of 2010 with an exciting array of workshops to inspire the imagination.

Developed by artists and educators Dawn Southworth and Dana Salvo, Annisquam Arts begins its 16th season offering an exciting array of workshops to inspire your child’s imagination. Conducted at the open and generous facilities and magical playground of the Plum Cove School, we are just a short walk to Plum Cove Beach, Lanes Cove and the Annisquam River. Photography in the Afternoon Workshops continue be based out of Dawn Southworth and Dana Salvo’s Home Studio, located in Annisquam. Please see registration form for details.

Dawn Southworth is a well-known Boston artist, recognized for mixed media works and installations. Dawn is the upper school art teacher at Glen Urquhart School, Beverly, MA and a visiting faculty member at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.

Dana Salvo is an artist, photographer and author of Home Altars of Mexico. Dana conducts workshops in a variety of artistic disciplines at schools throughout Massachusetts, has been the recipient of two awards from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, and has twice received the Fulbright Scholar Award.

Dawn Southworth and Dana Salvo's work can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum and MOMA in New York City, at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, as well as numerous museums and private collections throughout the United States. They own Clark Gallery in Lincoln, MA, a leading presenter of contemporary art in New England, and a member of the Boston Art Dealers Association.

Maggie Chandler, from the Waring School, and Jennah Maybury, from Pingree, will be returning as our teaching assistants and activities directors with a variety of fun-filled adventures.
